Purpose : To promote tourism

Activities : BTA is involved in a broad range of activities promoting travel to Barbados through various activities overseas as well as tourism-promoting activities in Barbados.

1. Operating Tourist Information Centres in Barbados for foreign visitors.
2. To facilitate the efficient development of tourism.
3. To make provision for adequate and suitable air and sea passenger transport services to and from Barbados
4. To encourage the establishment of amenities and facilities necessary for the proper enjoyment of Barbados as a tourist destination.
5. Conducting tourism related research
6. To register, license and classify tourist accommodation according to the standard of amenities provided
7. To register and classify restaurants catering primarily to tourists; according to the standard of cuisine and amenities provided
8. Arranging reception facilities for foreign visitors
9. Operating offices in key cities around the world
10. Publishing travel literature and videos about Barbados
